1. Scope and contact
This policy covers the CarDash iPhone app, its CarPlay experience, widgets and this support website. CarDash is developed and published by Burak Bora Çimen. For privacy questions or requests, contact app.flirta@gmail.com.
2. Information stored on your device
Trip records may include start time, duration, distance, speed statistics, route coordinates and available start/destination names. Your vehicle profile, entered name and vehicle information, saved home/work addresses, recent destinations, preferences, Cast trial usage and imported videos are also stored on the device.
CarDash does not upload this trip history to its own server. Summaries are shared with app components on your iPhone for widgets and Live Activities and can appear on those displays. Device backup coverage depends on Apple and your settings; the video library is configured to be excluded from backups.
3. Location and external services
Location supports the speed display, directions, trip recording and video movement lock. With Always permission, automatic trip recording can use location while the app is in the background.
- Maps and routes: place search, address lookup and routing use Apple MapKit; search terms and relevant location information may be sent to Apple services.
- Weather: your current or destination coordinates are sent to Apple WeatherKit to obtain forecasts.
- Speed limits: when enabled, current coordinates are sent to the configured Overpass-based speed-limit service to query nearby roads using OpenStreetMap data. The query does not include your complete trip history.
External services may process connection information such as your IP address under their own terms. See Apple's privacy policy and Apple's location services notice. Contact us for details about the speed-limit service provider.
4. Cast, videos and screen mirroring
Imported video files and playback progress are stored on your iPhone. Mirrored frames pass through CarDash components on the device to your car display; CarDash does not record them or upload them to an internet server. Personal information visible on your phone screen can also appear on the car display.
5. Purchases, tracking and advertising
Cast Pro payments are managed through Apple App Store and StoreKit. CarDash reads verified subscription status to determine access; it does not receive your card details. Purchase and Apple Account data are subject to Apple's terms.
CarDash does not show ads or use advertising tracking to follow you across other apps or websites.
6. Support messages and this website
If you email support, your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send are used to respond to your request. Messages are delivered through Gmail. Avoid unnecessary personal information; email app.flirta@gmail.com to request access to or deletion of your support correspondence.
These pages include no advertising or visitor analytics code. Your browser language preferences are used on your first visit, with English as the fallback when no supported language is available. A language you select manually is saved in your browser's local storage for later visits. No cookie is used for this preference. URLs containing a language open directly in that language. Hosting and access infrastructure may process technical connection data under their own policies to deliver and secure the website.
7. Retention, permissions and your choices
On-device data is stored locally while you use the app. You can remove imported videos from the CarDash library. Deleting the app from your iPhone removes its local app data; offloading the app can keep that data. Manage device or cloud backups separately through Apple settings.
You can change location and notification permissions in iOS Settings at any time. Turning off location can limit related features, including speed, routing, automatic recording, location-based weather and Cast movement detection. The developer cannot remotely access trip records on your device. Contact us about privacy rights or support correspondence.
8. Changes
If the app's data use changes, this policy will be updated along with the date shown on this page. Check app or website notices for significant changes.
